Agree with pretty much all of this except for "I am sure they are all nice enough people in person." Having spent some time in the vicinity of party political wonks, I am 100% certain they are vile people.
Very kind Chris - sometimes they come easy - I did in this case want to keep away from the detail - thought honest this "deal" has been covered horribly by the media
Long may Labour's sprint to total destruction of their party continue. The only question is whether the Conservatives will beat them there or will find the courage to admit their mistake, ditch Kallme Badenough, and become a party of the right again.
Reform has a lot of growing up to do if they are to become an effective participant in government, however, and this may determine the fate of the Tories.
I don't see how this could be seen as a 5 minute read, unless you are a phenomenal speed reader! Perhaps I am just slowing down more than I realised as I age?
We shall be discussing the agreement on Tuesday at our Politics in Pubs meeting in Manchester and with your permission I shall use selections from your article in our post advertising the meeting?
Agreed
You can't keep up with the poison this government is unleashing daily now

Great post as usual Dan. It gets harder every day to understand this insanity.
All this before you factor in the chagos insanity which will go down like a poison with the public.
Dan, you're absolutely on fire with this piece. Brilliant, incisive, witty and true.
